Our Residential Dryer Vent Cleaning Process

We make dryer vent cleaning simple, thorough, and professional. Here’s what you can expect when we clean your home dryer vent.

1. Inspect the Dryer Vent System

We start by checking the dryer connection, vent hose, duct route, and exterior vent when accessible. This helps us identify lint buildup, blockages, crushed ducting, or airflow restrictions.

2. Move the Dryer Carefully

If needed, we carefully move the dryer away from the wall to access the vent connection. We take care to protect your laundry area and avoid damaging floors or walls.

3. Disconnect the Dryer Vent Hose

We disconnect the dryer vent hose from the back of the dryer so we can properly clean the vent line and remove trapped lint or debris.

4. Remove Lint and Debris

Using professional dryer vent cleaning tools, we remove lint, dust, pet hair, and debris from the vent duct. This helps restore airflow and reduce overheating risk.

5. Clean Toward the Exterior Vent

We clean through the vent line toward the outside exhaust vent when accessible. This helps push out buildup and clear the path for proper airflow.

6. Clean the Exterior Vent Cover

We check and clean the outside vent cover to make sure the flap opens and closes properly. If the exterior vent is blocked by lint, leaves, or debris, we remove it.

7. Check for Restrictions or Damage

During the cleaning, we look for common issues such as crushed hoses, disconnected ducting, damaged vent covers, long vent runs, or poor airflow.

8. Reconnect the Dryer

Once the vent is cleaned, we reconnect the dryer vent hose securely and move the dryer back into place.

9. Test Airflow

We run the dryer and check airflow at the exterior vent when accessible. Stronger airflow is a good sign the vent has been properly cleared.

10. Clean Up the Work Area

Before we leave, we clean up any lint or debris from the work area and make sure your laundry space is left neat.

After Cleaning, You May Notice:

  • Faster drying times
  • Better airflow
  • Less heat buildup

  • Reduced lint buildup
